Guess What, it’s Another Four-Day Week!
Thank you to everyone who came and helped make Back to School Night a wonderful evening! It meant a lot to me to meet with you and tell you all about the expectations for the year. Remember, if you have any topics you would like me to cover on Parent Ed Night, please email me at email@example.com.
Sixth grade will once again be in charge of parking lot duty this year. We will continue to update the schedule as needed. Safety Schedule updated 9/1. I still have two holes that need to be filled if anyone is kind enough to volunteer, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is no school on MON SEP 7 in honor of Labor Day. Enjoy your four-day weekend! Picture Day will be WED SEP 9. You can have free dress on THU SEP 10 if you bring $2 as a donation to the Western Dinner Dance. If you drop off a dessert in the hall anytime after 4pm today, you will have free dress on MON SEP 14. The free dress if you brought in four canned food items is FRI SEP 11. The Western Dinner Dance is SAT SEP 12 at 5:30pm.

The topic of the week in 6th grade math is Variables and Expressions. The topic of the week in 7th grade math is Ratios and Rates. The topic of the week in 8th grade math is Rational and Irrational Numbers. The Stock Market Game topic will be What is a Stock? All grades need to bring their composition books, pencils, workbooks, and iPads to class every day this week.
8th grade: Worksheet 1-2 (Exploring Irrational Numbers) due 9/9; Worksheet 1-3 (Approximating Irrational Numbers) due 9/10
7th grade: Worksheet 1-2 (Unit Rates) due 9/9; Worksheet 1-3 (Ratios with Fractions) due 9/11
6th grade: Worksheet 1-1 (Numerical Expressions) due 9/9
